Here at TMR, we quickly became obsessed with slimdan’s newest single, ‘Be Somebody’. The joyous, reflective cut dropped in January of 2022 and showed off the US artist’s talent for big melodies and charming arrangements. Now, he has revisited the track... acoustic, and live at a local California shop. It’s a bright, playful video that matches the song perfectly and the unplugged take on it provides a whole new perspective. He gives us a little bit more detail on his backing band: “I wrote and produced the song with Noah Conrad (dude in flip flops) and Ryan Linvill (the guy in the cool sweater) and then Pedro (happy Brazilian man in the back) mixed and played drums on the released recording.” Keep an eye out for more from slimdan this year. -Dan Peeke
